The McARTHUR TECHNIQUE-(tongue-in-cheek term)
Any of a number of surgical-misadventure techniques for hernia repair, which are all too often performed by inexperience surgeons who's familiarity with the inguinal anatomy and hernia pathophysiology is extremely limited to such an extent that immediately after the surgery, the hernia itself loudly proclaims to the previously un-suspecting patient, a'la U.S. General Douglas McArthur:

"I SHALL RETURN" (Read: "I shall RECUR")
Such methods are not found in contemporary surgical literature, nor in any Surgical Technique Atlas of which I am familiar.
